Nicolas
Once upon a time a fine young man named Christopher John Charles Grey was beating his head against the wall in despair. His assistant was driving him insane. He just wouldn’t understand the simplest of lessons. It was rather unlikely that Nicolas would ever earn a penny using that lovely colourful keyboard he fancied so much.
Today he is looking back on a career that has taken him all over mainland Europe, the UK, the USA, Asia and Australia having worked with a vast variety of creative talents ranging from film students to academy award winners. His passion for editing has even gained him several invitations to the Zanzibar International Film Festival where he held lectures to large numbers of snoozing filmmakers from all over Africa. He has been awarded with and shortlisted for numerous accolades at festivals including the London International Awards, the Clio Awards, the ADC, the ADCE, the New York Festivals, the Golden Award of Montreux and the Cannes Lions.
These days Nicolas is increasingly working on set using his MacBook Pro and additional mobile equipment perfectly accommodating tight schedules and providing the director with the possibility to select the rushes or get involved in the editing process whilst still on shoot.
